The Capital University of Physical Education and Sports (CUPES) is the only higher sports college under the administration of Beijing Municipal Education Commission.Undertaking the “Youth Physical Movement Function Training” doctoral talent cultivation project for special national needs, the university has one post-doctoral working station, 2 first-level master’s disciplines, 6 second-level master’s disciplines, and 2 professional master’s degrees. The first-level discipline of physical education is a high-tech, superior, and cutting-edge discipline in Beijing. There are 15 undergraduate programs, including 5 national first-class programs, 2 national characteristic programs, and 7 first-class programs of Beijing. Except for the newly added majors, all of them have been included in the program of the Ministry of Education for the construction of ten thousand national first-class programs and ten thousand provincial first-class programs. CUPES has 17 provincial or ministerial level teaching and research platforms, including the Key Laboratory of Sports Ability Evaluation and Research of the General Administration of Sport of China, Key Laboratory of Sports Skills Assessment and Technical Analysis of Beijing, Martial arts Training and Research Center for International Promotion of Chinese Language and Base for Training, Innovation, and Practice of High-level International Talents of the Ministry of Education, and so on.
